Davix among the 50 startups of the Volcano Innovation Summit 2026: selected for the Startup Avenue Competition
When there are only 50 spots for all of Latin America, making that list says something concrete about a startup's moment. Davix was selected among the 50 startups of the Startup Avenue Competition at the Volcano Innovation Summit 2026, the most important innovation gathering in the region, taking place September 5-7 in Antigua, Guatemala.
This is not just another badge for the website. It is confirmation that Davix's proposition —artificial intelligence applied to healthcare in LATAM— has the traction, the team and the scale potential this ecosystem is looking to drive.

What is the Volcano Innovation Summit
In 2026 the Volcano Innovation Summit reaches its seventh edition under the concept "Echoes of Expansion." It is one of the most relevant innovation and capital platforms in Latin America, and this year it will bring together more than 2,200 leaders from 35 countries: founders, investors, venture capital funds, corporations and ecosystem players shaping the region's technological future.
Behind the summit is a community of more than 10,000 members across more than 45 countries and over 100,000 strategic connections facilitated. In other words: it is not an isolated event, it is a living network of regional innovation.
The 2026 edition also adds a new component, the Startup World Cup —organized globally by Pegasus Tech Ventures and locally alongside the Kirzner Entrepreneurship Center at Universidad Francisco Marroquin (UFM)—, whose grand prize is a US$1 million investment and a pass to the global finals in San Francisco.
Startup Avenue: the selected 50
The Startup Avenue Competition is the heart of the summit for startups. Each edition selects only 50 companies from across the region, chosen among hundreds of applications. The criteria is not a nice idea: it looks for founders with real traction seeking international visibility, access to capital and strategic connections.
Being part of the 50 means entering a curated experience that accompanies the startup before, during and after the event in Guatemala:
- Intensive mentorship with experts from the regional and global ecosystem.
- Fundraising preparation in front of investors.
- Strategic connections with funds, corporations and other founders.
- Demo Day — the opportunity to present Davix's pitch before international investors and leaders of the global innovation ecosystem.
For a healthtech company, that access is worth as much as the recognition itself.
Why Davix was selected
Davix does not reach this list by chance. Our platform solves a real, measurable problem in Latin America's healthcare sector: the technological fragmentation of clinics, laboratories and imaging centers. We do it with artificial intelligence and a cloud-native architecture built on AWS infrastructure.
That approach had already been gathering endorsements that today echo in Antigua:
- The academic backing of Bioincuba, the incubator of Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia.
- The evolution of our intelligent sales agents with Davix Growth, bringing autonomous AI to the commercial process in healthcare.
- A customer base that validates the product through real usage, not promises.
The Startup Avenue Competition looks for exactly that: demonstrable traction in markets that matter. LATAM's digital health is one of them.
What this recognition means for Davix customers
As with any Davix milestone, what matters is not the trophy but what it enables for those who use the platform:
Validation before the ecosystem
Having a regional committee select Davix among 50 startups implies a review of the strength of the problem, the solution and the potential impact. For a clinic or laboratory that trusts its operation to Davix, it is one more external signal that it is betting on a platform with a future.
Access to capital to accelerate the product
The goal of Startup Avenue is to connect startups with investors. More capital means more development speed: new features, better support and a roadmap that moves faster for our customers.
A regional health and innovation network
The summit connects Davix with funds, corporations and other healthtechs from 35 countries. That networking fuels alliances, integrations and learnings that end up reflected in the product clinics use every day.
See you in Antigua
From September 5-7, Davix will be in Antigua, Guatemala, representing the region's digital health among the 50 selected startups of the Volcano Innovation Summit 2026. It is one more step in a clear mission: to bring the best AI technology to the clinics, laboratories and health centers of Latin America.
Representing the company will be Alejandro Mayta, founder and CEO of Davix, who will take part in the Startup Avenue Competition and the Demo Day before international investors, corporations and leaders of the global innovation ecosystem. His presence in Antigua reinforces Davix's commitment to building the future of digital health in the region, alongside those who are defining where innovation in Latin America is headed.
